So due to an upcoming move, I'm seriously trying to purge the great bulging closet of all non essentials. In doing so a great heaping pile destined for Goodwill formed. These shoes were placed upon the pile, then reconsidered. They are boring plain jane peep toe wedges from Target, and scuffed all to hell to boot. Could I possibly turn these into a must have shoe? Oh yes my friends, and for less than $5 and a trip to Joanne Fabrics.
I apologize for picture quality, I shot these photos on my Iphone, I promise better photos of the finished products later.
You'll need:
*Ugly old peep toes
*A sharpie or other black permanent marker
*Trim with chain detailing less than 1 foot
*Glue gun and glue sticks
*Fabric scissors
*jewelry pliers
*an old pair of small, fish hook earrings
Ps: Ignore the pyramid studs, I originally meant to include them, but opted out last second.

1) Cover up those nasty nicks! I used my jumbo Sharpie to hide the wear and tear to the back of the heel (What was I doing?) and wear on the leather.
2) Lay trim across shoe band, and mark to the length you need and cut to fit. For this particular trim, I had to first cut the cloth trim with my fabric scissors, then use my jewelry pliers to open up the chain, seperate, then close again.

3) Use that glorious glue gun and carefully, an inch at a time glue on trim to center of shoe. Careful not to burn your fingers, that chain will heat up! Remove all the little glue tendrils and make sure not to get any hot glue spots on your tulle. Use your fabric scissors to trim tulle around the bottom of the shoe so you aren't stepping on your trim.
4) Take some tiny fish hook earrings and slip the hook into a center link of your chain. Using your jewelry pliers, twist it around itself to form a secure loop. Trim off remaining hook. These earrings came with a necklace I bought and I never really cared for them, however they make awesome shoe charms! The dollar store might be a great place to find items like this!
5) You're finished! It took me under 15 minutes for this transformation and now I love these guys! I'm so glad I didn't take them with my donation!
